Kelvar and the COA chapter 2

Chapter 2

Lu was SpikerMan’s sister; she was a very hard worker, and a very stubborn person, it’s nearly impossible to get her to do something she doesn’t want to do, but despite that SpikerMan was going to play the game of getting someone to get someone to do something.
SpikerMan made his way to Lu’s office which was next to the Sophora’s restaurant; SpikerMan had almost lapped the station twice now trying to prepare for this mission, he knocked on the door and entered, he saw Lu as she always was: sitting in her chair doing paperwork slowly and quietly taking her time. Lu wore a pink outfit similar to Kunac’s outfit, the sleeves and shoulders weren’t puffy like his, it was more like a kimono the sleeves were much longer than her arms, but she said she likes it because it was comfortable to wear, her hair was long and blue, but the color of her hair was monochromatic as it was a darker blue at the top of her head, and it became a lighter blue as it moved down to the end; her eyes were very light blue, she was a very beautiful person, she and Kelvar worked together for a long time as a part of the Raven team years ago when SpikerMan’s father was their leader, but after he died the group split but even then Lu never warmed up to Kelvar and it was a mystery to everyone why Lu never liked Kelvar.

“Lu…I need your help.”

“I’m a little busy right now if you could come back in a few hours…”

SpikerMan hung his head down in frustration, she always says that, and if you actually did come back in a few hours she would say the same thing. SpikerMan ignored her and entered the room anyways. SpikerMan tried to speak put he paused for a minute, his mouth open…then closed for a few seconds. Lu stopped her work and looked up; she took off her glasses and set them on the table.
SpikerMan moved his hands while he talked:

“Is there any way…you would talk to Kelvar?”

Lu stared at his brother for a minute...and then continued her paper work. SpikerMan just stood there for a few seconds.

“Does that mean no?”

“Yup.”

Lu didn’t even look at SpikerMan as she continued her paper work. SpikerMan gave up and left her room and headed to the left down the hall to the docking bay.
In the docking bay there were several ships down rows that were either taking off, or returning from missions, the docking hall was about the length of six football fields, SpikerMan kept walking until he arrived at his ship the Savannah. Cyplex was the first one there before everyone else, he has been scolded in the past for being late to missions so he would make up for it by usually being the first and Cyplex traveled pretty light so there was no real excuse for him to be late.

“So did you do it?” Cyplex asked, talking about bringing Kelvar along.

“I tried to, but I don’t think he’s coming.”

“Aww, that’s a shame.”

Cyplex and Kelvar were the closest of friends than anyone else, he was disappointed that Kelvar wasn’t going because they both understand one another’s sense of humor more than the others.
Sirus and Scerpinder both arrived together shortly after SpikerMan arrived.

“Hey Scerpinder, what’s up?” Cyplex asked, knowing Scerpinder would respond

with something grumpy.

Scerpinder crossed his arms and looked to his left:

“Well your girlfriend status definitely isn’t.”

Sirus bent over and tried his hardest not to laugh, Cyplex didn’t say anything, he didn’t think it was funny as Cyplex had-had nearly 20 girlfriends this week.

“Get on the ship and let’s go.” SpikerMan broke the conversation or lack of it.

Cyplex, Sirus, and Scerpinder all walked under the ship to the elevator door that all carried them up to the bridge.

SpikerMan finished the fueling of the ship and removed the nozzle with his hands; he twisted it to the right to unlock it and placed the hose onto the hook.

“Spike.”

SpikerMan heard a soft voice from behind him, he knew who it was, and he slowly turned around and saw Sara, his wife. She was wearing a white doctor’s coat with a pink shirt under it, she had a stethoscope hanging around her neck, her hair was long and blonde, her eyes were blue and she always had a smile on her face, it was one of her trademarks, everyone who sees her would become instantly happy.

“Hey…What’s-“

Before he could finish he saw Kelvar standing behind her, he looked better but he still had dark marks under his eyes, he also noticed Kelvar had his equipment and weapons with him.

SpikerMan tilted his head to his right so he could see Kelvar.

“Are you coming with us?” SpikerMan asked.

Kelvar nodded his head not saying anything while looking down.

“Well…go ahead and get on the ship then.”

Kelvar walked under the ship and got on the elevator that the other three had taken.

SpikerMan looked at Sara; she only smiled as he was completely in awe that Kelvar was now on the ship.

“What did you say to him?”

“I slapped him and told him he was going.” She said with a little giggle.

SpikerMan tried not to laugh…he knew she was serious though about how she did it, Sara was capable of doing things that no-one else could, she was like the mom of the station and people listen to her when she talks.

“How did you even know we had a mission? Who told you?”

“Kunac did before he called you to his office. He told me that he wanted Kelvar to
go before you asked him, so…after you talked to Kelvar I smacked him around a little and he decided to go.”

SpikerMan smiled as she laughed, she was happy that Kelvar was finally out of his room and not moping about anymore.

“Well…I guess I’d better get going.”

“Ok…I’d go with you but I have patients to look after.”

“I know; you take care of them ok?”

“I will.”

Sara gave SpikerMan a hug and nuzzled her head against his for a little bit, and gave him a small kiss on his cheek.

“You be careful out there and look after Kelvar too.”

“I’ll see you when I get back.”

SpikerMan made his way to the elevator and turned around as it lifted him onto the bridge, the moment he arrived at the bridge he saw Kelvar standing in front of him.

“I want off.” Kelvar said in an angry tone.

SpikerMan had-had enough of Kelvar’s attitude and he locked the bridge controls immediately by pressing a button to the left of him.

“You’ll get off when we get to the planet.” SpikerMan stared down Kelvar for a few

seconds as Kelvar turned around and took a seat to the right of the ship.
SpikerMan took his seat in the front next to Scerpinder as he sat down and put on his seat belt, he put his hands behind his head and crossed his right leg over his left.

“Go.”

Scerpinder started the ship’s engines and moved the ship forward a bit and made it turn to the right, then they were looking down the hall and at the very end was space, covered by a special blue see through shield that only allowed their ships to come in and out.

“Let’s rock.”

Scerpinder shouted as he moved a lever forward and the ship blasted out of the station.

Kelvar rolled his eyes

“That was lame.” He moaned.
